Job Summary

Uniserve is looking for a Telephone Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our expanding team.

In this role, the SDR will contact new business opportunities by telephone following a proven process to prospect into niche industries. The SDR will work with the Account Executives and the Director of Sales to create and prioritize their target market, and is accountable for generating warm leads which they will pass over to the Account Executives to close.

The successful candidate will be a strong, self-motivated and driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, tenacious, and not afraid of cold calling. The ideal candidate will possess a desire to develop their professional selling skills and must be a fit for our fun, entrepreneurial and small team-based culture.

Top SDR performers will have the potential for advancement from SDR to Account Executive and beyond.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute proven processes, including cold calling, social media marketing and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Follow up effectively with leads to qualify them and to conduct initial discovery of their requirements
  • Strategize with the Director of Sales and marketing team to support their prospecting programs with direct outreach
  • Discover and engage new prospect accounts and contacts within your assigned territory
  • Attend regular team meetings
  • Use Connect Wise CRM software to send out emails, make phone calls, track conversations, set tasks and set appointments

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education an asset
  • Previous sales experience of two (2) years in telecommunications, managed services or related industry
  • CRM and CMS experience is a plus
  • Ability to write succinct, crisp emails and have a great phone manner
  • Basic knowledge of internet, websites, internet browsers, marketing and social media
  • Proficiency with standard corporate productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, email, phone skills)
